Apprenticeship training delivery and management is highly complex – it involves convoluted processes and systems, embedded in a raft of ever-changing rules and regulations designed to maximise the impact of learning (and funding) on apprentices. We have created a single, unique framework and visual representation – Spectrum-39™ - to help training providers fully understand the complexities and the challenges of mobilising, delivering, managing and monitoring apprenticeships.
Why Spectrum-39™?
The framework was designed to encapsulate the entire business model for apprenticeship training and after it was completed, we realised there were at least 39 separate and distinct areas that need to be considered for planning, operating, managing and monitoring an apprenticeship training business efficiently and effectively. Hence the name!
Spectrum-39™ is also known as “the Iceberg Model” because only a few of the 39 areas are identifiable in the day-to-day delivery of an apprenticeship programme – the majority of the framework covers all the complex policies, processes and activities that underpin the operations of an apprenticeships training business.
Spectrum-39™ is ideal for Employer-Providers and new entrants to the Apprenticeship training marketplace, as well as existing providers seeking to improve the quality of their training provision. The model is designed so that clients have complete control in shaping and tailoring their Apprenticeship training programmes, either on a DIY basis, or whilst receiving additional expert assistance from LX Group advisers.
Spectrum-39™ lies at the core of LX Group’s entire service range. LX Digital is, in essence, the fully digital version of Spectrum-39™, set out as a series of bite-sized training modules that can be easily digested to rapidly improve individual and organisational apprenticeships delivery skillsets.
